More Tips For Article Marketing

Ok, firstly, in my last post I promised to share with you how to get your hands on 25 (amount can vary) or so articles for less than $5 (price varies too but not by much) to allow you to start publishing on article directories.

You might like to write your own articles and this isn't hard if you have a lot to write about - especially if you have a passion in that arena. So you may be wanting to promote a certain product, or get visitors to your site etc and you need some quality articles to get you going.

What you need to do is find a good supplier of quality Private Label Rights (PLR)articles. What this means is you can generally use the articles as your own and put your name to it, sounds good right? Well not everything is rosy in the garden but i'll show you how to get round that stumbling block in a minute.

Back to getting yourself some PLR articles. There are many vendors of these types of articles and it is really down to you to decide what ones are the best although for any articles I have needed I usually use plrarticles.com, they supply articles in a variety of niches and they are usually quite good.

Some people supply only articles in a certain niche and all you need to do to find them is to Google this "[niche] PLR articles". Remember to replace the [niche] with the niche or area you are working in. Your niche could be 'improve your golf swing' or 'get better ABS'?

So what was the stumbling block I was talking about? Ok for this I need to divert to another area of article marketing for a bit. Search engine optimisation (SEO). Search engines hate duplicate content so if you have duplicate content on your site from a PLR article that someone else has bought and published then you will be penalised in the search engines for it.

How can you check if the articles have already been used? You can also check the quality of the articles before you buy and how many people have used them? Well what you can do is go to plrarticles.com for instance and look at the article headings. In fact I will show you an example of this now.

Say your niche was golf. go to the link below and look at the titles of the articles:

PLR Store Golf Stuff

Copy the second heading and paste it into Google. Surround it with double quotes so it does not search each word individually as well as the heading.

Now in my search for the 2nd heading 'Achieving the Golf Swing of Pro Golfers' I have found this website on golf with this article title:

Golf Site

Now the article has the same heading as the one in the PLR store right? Yes but it may not be the article from the Private Label Right store, so how do you know?

Simple, look around the golf website for other articles with the same headings as the ones in your PLR store list. In the golf site you can also see:

'An empty box can help your golf swing'
'Basic golf swing mechanics'
'Golf swing fundamentals'
'Golf swings are just one aspect to win the game'

And more. So you can pretty much guarantee that these are the articles you are about to buy. So you can check them out, see how good they are and how many times they have been used.

To check how many times the article has been used copy the first paragraph and then paste it into Google with double quotes surrounding it. This will show you how many times the unedited version has been used.

it does not take much to change your article so that it is more unique to you and doesn't cost you penalties in SEO. for the article I used originally, 'Achieving the Golf Swing of Pro Golfers', the amount of times the unedited version has been used is thus:

Google Search Results for Article First Paragraph

You can see from the link it has been used 234 times (This may vary as people change layouts etc), so you would definitely want to be re-editing this for your own use.

Ok I promise to bring you the next parts on article marketing very soon.

3 Top Tips for Article Marketing

Hi There

If you want to start building up an image of yourself as a niche or pro in a certain area then you cannot beat article submission to achieve this. Why is this so important? Well if you have an interest or passion in a subject and you also want to make money from it then writing an article on it is positive proof you have some authority, knowledge and expertise in the area, and people will be more inclined to listen to you, and ultimately buy things from you.

So lets get into the nitty gritty of articles.

What is an article?

Daft question you might think but try and give me a logical explanation of what it is, even I am struggling!! An article is a collection of paragraphs, written by an author, either on a certain topic, perhaps with some sub-topics. As always there is a beginning, which will give an overview of the topic(s) to be covered, then a more in-depth discussion in the main body then a conclusion to end it.

Articles for internet marketing are generally 250-500 words long. If your ultimate aim is to sell or promote something then you do not want the article to be very long and you so you do not want big paragraphs.

1)The best way to write an article for internet marketing is to have an intro paragraph about 4 or 5 lines then a collection of top-tips on the subject you are talking about.

2)I would also try and stick to under 10 tips. I currently have an article up and it has had over 30 views as opposed to the rest, which have had 10-15 views. Why? Well I reckon for one the article goes right into the bones of the topic and the heading includes '6 top tips for [subject]'. You do not want to bore someone to the point they switch off and never get to the end of the article. you can get away with 10 or more if the tips are really short.

The 'Top Tips' thing seems to be a favourite for internet marketing. And don't forget the ultimate aim of your article is for people to read and then sign up to your newsletter or to buy a product from you.

3)Don't worry too much about the length, as long as it is under 500 words but preferrably no less than 250. The article I was talking about earlier with over 30 views is quite short as opposed to the others.

I will be bringing you some technical tips on using links on your articles very soon and also more on article marketing including:

How to get a bunch of articles for less than $5, usually about 25 articles of 250-500 words.

Tips for writing your own articles.

And tips on publishing your articles to ezine etc.

See you soon

The Easy Mistakes in Learning to Make Money Online (And How to Avoid Them)

Hi There

While wading my way through all the internet make money "guff" on the net I found myself getting confused and getting the 'One step forward 2 back' syndrome if you know what I mean? Why? Well every time I read some new 'Best Way to Do X' I thought wait a minute this is only their spin on how to say joint venture with someone but it might not be the way YOU would do it.

The mistake(s) I realised that I was making was trying to follow the guides to a T as if this guy's way was going to be the exact way I would do it too. Sure you can copy someone but how do you know it is going to work for you? The person writing the article may be writing it as a sales letter so may be leaving out the meat and potatoes, to tempt you with the sign up later on to find out the rest!

They may have more experience

They may have less experience

They may have other techniques they use that they are not fully explaining

So the best way is to watch the videos and read the articles

Take notes

Review the info you have taken in

and take any ideas from it that you may be able to slot into your own plan

But do not copy a plan word for word

Sometimes you may have an idea but are a little stuck with a certain aspect of doing this or that, but you may then pick up a snippet of info from another totally unrelated plan that can slot right into your plan and get you going.

So Into the Thick of It

Hi There

I found myself writing my life 'internet marketing' story in the heading so I had to abruptly stop myself and decide to assign the meat and potatoes to the posts; that is what the blog is for after all. Now understand that if you are quite new to this game yourself then you can certainly get an edge following me on here and using my tips and tricks on the various ways to make money on the net, and also the things to avoid if you want to NOT lose money! (No Brainer right?).

A lot of stuff I have come across is not so much rubbish, it is just aggressively marketed as 'Make money within a week using this system', when in actual fact it can take anything up to 3 - 6 months to start seeing any sort of returns. I always buy these sorts of promotions, glean the info and then get the money back before the money back guarantee runs out - no law against it! I think you could make money with some of these systems but it would require a hell of a lot of work and some shrewd moves, and some lady luck too.

I mean if you only learn one thing surely it's one more little string in your internet marketing bow? Please feel free to post and correct me if I am wrong and tell me how. Remember we are all always learning so none of us are perfect. You might have more knowledge on a certain aspect that I post but I will certainly tell you my level of expertise before I talk about anything, and my experiences and proof, or not, if it makes money.

I am quite busy just now with some projects but I will be covering the basics of cost per action and double opt-in marketing techniques to allow you to get an insight into this as I understand it, and how I am starting to experiment with it. I will also try and tell you all those hidden extras you might need with any reviews and will run through a budget and how to do a good internet business plan before you committ yourself to anything.
